Life Updates

Thanks everyone for your sweet, sweet comments last week! I didn't expect to get much feedback, but after reading them all, I decided to just keep plugging along! I can't believe next week is March -- crazy how fast life is going. I am heading up to Lynchburg again next weekend to attend one of my 104 Chelsey Road housemate's wedding! Very excited!

The biggest news is that I have taken another job. Shocker! Yes, I know I have moved around quite a bit the last few years, but it's all been for opportunities I couldn't resist or turn down. I am blessed to be given the experience I have been given and look forward to growing even more. You can hear about it in the video below:

I am thankful to have gotten into a small group through my church, Buckhead Church. It's a group of about 10 girls ages 25-32... I learned last week that I am the youngest in the group! I am excited to connect on a more intimate level in such a large church and look forward to growing spiritually!

I am very excited to be going on my first missions trip in May to Nicaragua! My dad is a full-time missionary with a home base in America, taking multiple short-term trips each year to the Philippines, Nicaragua, Brazil, Amazon river tribal territories, Kiev, India, Africa, etc. Sadly, I've never gone on any trip. Not because I haven't wanted to, but with my school activities, working, going through college quickly, it just didn't work out for me to go. I called him up a few weeks back saying that I really wanted to go this year while I can. We are a very mission-oriented family and I wanted to be part of that and serve the Lord in that capacity with my time. I have to raise some money, so I am praying for a painless fundraising effort.

I'm dating.... but nothing serious with anyone. I've been out with a lot of guys here in Atlanta, and if anything, I have been able to weed out what I am not looking for and pinpoint more of what I am looking for. Definitely refusing to settle, and if that means more lonely days sometimes, then so be it. I've had some disappointments for sure after spending weeks or months getting to know someone, only for them to go MIA or other instances where I let my guard down a bit and then a guy says he can't give 100%. With me being not interested in playing games, that just doesn't fly. I can peace out more gracefully than a Disney princess. ..... and so I keep going.

I am quickly looking for a new condo for an April move-in date. Both L and I have decided to get our own places, as we feel we are at a part in our lives when we both want to do that! I've started looking a little bit, but in Atlanta, condo availability and pricing changes on a daily basis. I will probably start a more serious search in middle of March.

That's about it for now! Have a great week!
