I took the plunge and got on Pinterest a few weeks ago. (my Pinterest site is here) Sad thing is that so many people are waiting for an invite & I had an account that was empty of pins! I didn't think (and may still think) I don't have time for this. My blog is my priority, interacting with Twitter is a second priority...... I am seriously puzzled with Pinterest! I wonder if its just a hype... what do you think?
Nonetheless, I am on it, so if you're super bored, feel free to check out my boards. I will warn you that they are predominantly fitness related. I am not planning a wedding and I am not decorating a house, so I choose not to engage in wasting my time with such pins that don't apply to me at the moment. Plus, with sites like Houzz.com, I feel that my pinning of decor would get out of control! And I can't afford that time right now.
Back to my original question, though..... what do you all think of Pinterest?

Personally, I love pinterest! I've made a lot of really tasty recipes that I've found on it. I haven't done any crafts yet...but I have gotten some "p"inspiration for some clothing....
ReplyDeleteoh i like that second quote. i really needed that today. thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI like pinterest, I use it as an idea board and a way to keep up with my favorite ideas for projects and recipes. I am planning a wedding and decorating a house so all the pictures and diy ideas is one of the main reasons why I love it so much. I have found have A LOT of great workouts and healthy meal ideas on there also.
ReplyDeleteI do agree that with it can be a lot to keep up with between blogging and twitter though. At times I am overwhelmed with all the social media available!
I pick the first option but I'm still on it...
ReplyDeleteI have been trying to get on Pinterest for months now and haven't gotten an invite. How do I get one?!?! I have signed up a few times, but haven't heard one word :(
ReplyDeletePersonally, I love Pinterest! There are so many great recipes and crafting ideas. I don't craft as many of the things as I would like to, but I have done way more in the 9 months since I've had Pinterest than I did without it. I also got a lot of holiday decorating ideas from there (which was great in changing up the decor around the house without having to buy anything new). Oh and if I ever have a wedding, I already have 2 full wedding inspiration boards!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love Pinterest! At first I didn't really get it either but then I slowly starting discovering the wonderful-ness that it truly is. One of my favorite things to pin are all of the healthy recipes I've found. I hope you come to love it but be warned, it's a time sucker :)
ReplyDeleteHa, so I guess everyone is a big proponent! I agree with you though about the definition. I see all of these great ideas and great clothes...decorations etc. I'm not going to do most of them and can't afford most of it. haha. I will do a craft at some point though!
