Had a great weekend! I am pumped about my new small group through Buckhead Church! We all just clicked Friday night at Grouplink and had a blast! Then, headed out for a friend's birthday.
I have lived in Atlanta for a year now & it still is really hard to meet new people. I miss my girls in Virginia so much, but I can't just sit around waiting for the next weekend I see them.... so I have really had to make the effort to exert myself into meeting new people. It's amazing to me how little this big city of Atlanta is. Everyone knows everyone. Everyone is linked to someone somehow... typically because they went to Bama, Auburn, Georgia or Florida and then moved to Atlanta after graduation. A Liberty gal like me is already at a disadvantage.
But I'm not giving up yet...
I know the feeling! I've been in DC about a year and it's still hard to meet people because I work in the city, but I don't live there! I would probably do well in ATL because I'm from TN! :) I actually know several great girls there in your area and I'll direct them to your blog.
