Wedding Day

The day finally has come -- it would have been today. All I can say and all that I am going to say is that I am thankful the Lord removed me from that relationship. Though the toughest season of my life as of yet, I wouldn't trade it for anything. The lessons I have learned, the faith I have gained and the independence I have shown is something I am so grateful for.

I have emerged from this situation just fine. Not only did I land a fantastic job this week, but I also have other exciting news to share. I am buying my first home! A beautiful, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath townhome. I am closing on Halloween weekend. More info to come on that later.

I got a job at a national marketing firm and contracted to buy a home in the same week of what would have been my wedding. Funny how timing works. God knew all along. All I had to do was hold on through that valley and trust in Him. Romans 8:28 -- He worked it out in His timing. All I had to do was trust.

Any final words for him?

Yep.

Maybe the 3rd time will be charm.

Peace Out.

  8. It hurts to experience a proposal and the excitement and then have the rug jerked out from underneath you. When I read about the week you have had it is such an incredible reminder and significant show of God's hand working and how ultimately He is so amazing and He truly works all things out. Sometimes I struggle with remembering to let go of whatever it is I'm holding onto for dear life. One of my favorite quotes is by Martin Luther "I have held many things in my hands, and I have lost them all; but whatever I have placed in God's hands, that I still possess. "
You truly have been an amazing witness for His love mercy and grace throughout this journey you have been on and continue to walk!! LOVED this post!! Congratulations on the beautiful new place and fabulous new job!!!

You deserve all good that comes your way because it sounds like you put all that good out into the universe as well. And as someone who dealt with this a while ago, it only gets better and better!!! Way to go on the job and the house, its inspiring!!

  25. I have been reading your blog for awhile but never commented but felt like I should when I read this post of yours.
I was 2 weeks away from getting married and 2 weeks before the date he decided he didn't want to marry me anymore.
I have been right where you were and I just want to tell you that I admire how strong you are. I love reading your posts about how your life is going after that loser.
I remember what was supposed to be my wedding day every year, but every year it makes it that much more clear that EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON!
Congratulations on your new job and your new house!!
