I am excited to launch what I feel will be a great tool for us during our Keep Fit or Weight loss journeys this 2010 year. Fitness Friday will serve as a hub for us to post our own personal experiences in keeping trim and offer a support system. Throughout the first week of January, I cannot begin to count how many weight, food, or fitness tweets I have read. We discuss everything else on our blogs, why not designate a day to focus on health? Please get invovled in sharing tips, celebrating achieved goals, and offering encouragement to other bloggers!In launching Fitness Friday, I would like to host my first giveaway! In any given week, you can find me at my local Barnes & Noble bookstore with a copy of SHAPE in hand. This magazine is full of exercise tips and meal plans. It is my favorite fitness magazine on the shelf and I want one of you to have a year subscription to SHAPE delivered to your door to help aid your keep fit/weight loss journey.
There are a maximum of three entries and you must be a follower.
Entry One: Leaving a comment on what your Keep Fit goals are this year.
Entry Two: Posting about the giveaway on your blog. Be sure to let me know if you do that.
Entry Three: Become a follower on twitter & tweeting this blog link to advertise the giveaway.

My 2010 goal is to run a half marathon, I think that the training will keep me in pretty good shape, and I bought some yoga sessions for my "off" days!

What a great idea! I'm really going to enjoy this, especially because health is a huge goal for me this year. I've started last month to count my calories (which is a pain, but gets easier) and I've already lost 5 lbs! I also bought 2 Jillian Michaels workout dvds (onsale now at Target for $10!!!) Any tips will be great!
ReplyDeleteI want to be able to get to the fitness center more during the week. I want to go for walks also more often with my husband (when the weather co-operates). I will do a few more reps of exercises here at home too.
ReplyDeleteI started the Couch 2 5K program last week and it is killing me! I want to lose 10-15 lbs and just overall get in shape by MARCH so I can go wedding dress shopping, then maintain my weight/shape after that. Besides C25K, I'm doing weight machines at the gym and trying to eat fewer foods containing gluten.

I feel so behind on blogger from traveling this week for work, but gonna get into these Fitness Fridays! :) And great giveaway-my fitness goal for 2010 is to overcome my back injury I had in late 2008. I've spent 2009 trying different things I used to do only to end up almost hurting myself.. haha.. So, I've come to terms with needing a new gym and a new routine! Here I come! :)

ReplyDeleteMy goal is to lose 45 pounds, seriously! I aim to eat healthy and nutritiously and to gain lots of muscle tone so Sports Illustrated Swimsuit begs to have me on the cover. HA!

ReplyDeleteMy goals for this year are to work on building (rebuilding) healthy habits. I want to get to the point where grabbing healthy foods and going to the gym are just AUTOMATIC for me. I used to be that way.

ReplyDeleteLove this idea! My fitness goal is to qualify for Boston this year. I also want to do Pilates once a week and I have just started kickboxing too! The workouts are so fun you forget you are working out!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous and fun idea for Fridays! I LOVE IT LADY!!!! My goal is to stick with Crossfit and lose weight/tone up the right way. I don't do crash diets, I don't do cleanses, but I rather workout diligently and let Crossfit do it's magic!
