There are days when I cannot think of a title for my post -- such as today.

First things first -- I hopped on the scale this morning and saw that I have lost six pounds! I have not necessarily been trying all that much, but I seem to be the type that when I have something exciting going on in my life, I don't eat as much because I'm just not that hungry. I have eaten a lot of salad lately. Funny enough that I have only worked out like 4 days per week. It's confusing to me because when I was trying to lose weight back in February, I was working out almost everyday and the scale would not budge. Maybe it was because I was emotionally stressed out? Not sure. Anyway, all I know is that I have some clothes that are fitting much better. The ultimate goal is to be where I was my sophomore year of college. I never gained the 'Freshman 15' because I was an aerobic instructor at the University I attended, so I really had no choice BUT to be fit. And, I wanted to be. I always had to watch what I ate because people that took my classes would look at my plate. Let's just say I rarely ate late-night pizza. Those were quite the days. The days where I had nothing to worry about except school. I had the amazing opportunity to spend hours at the gym every night not only teaching 3 aerobic classes per week, but also working out for myself. Okay, I don't know how I got off on that tangent.

I wanted to post more pictures from last weekend at home!
My grandfather (dad's dad) came down to visit on my Birthday. He is in his 80s and I thought it was so sweet that he drove all the way down for it. This picture was taken at one of the Robert Trent Jones golf trails in Alabama.

Mom picked me up from the airport!

It was dad's birthday the week before!

Adam (Ash's bf), Ash, and me after dinner at Longhorn.

This is not a picture from my weekend at home, but I wanted to post it anyway. These are girls I that I worked with in another department of my job before I switched. We were at the rehearsal dinner .

This weekend should be a lot of fun. I know I have been hush hush about it all, but I think that's best for now. I will take a lot of pictures, and hopefully eventually, I will be able to post them. Have a great weekend everyone!

Just a shot...

I thought I would share a picture from my weekend at home!

Refreshed.

Right now, no other word describes my mood or outlook on life but refreshed. I feel something going on in my heart and in my life and I feel the work of God's hand surrounding me. I finally let go and let God. Have you ever heard that saying? I let go -- and I feel good. Though it may be sad and hard at times to let go of what you think is right or what you just 'know' is supposed to be, when you find yourself going around in circles over and over again with no hope of edging out of that loop -- you will fail. It will fail. Whatever you are trying to accomplish will fail. No blessing will come out of something that is not crafted by God in His perfect will and timing. I am thankful today - Thankful that I saw the light before a possible disaster in the future. I am thankful I learned a lesson from a roommate who went through what I did. She finally obeyed God and her life has truly been blessed. I can now officially say, that I have obeyed, too. And, I feel amazing.

My Southwest Encounter

When I flew to Alabama this weekend, I experienced my first Southwest flight. I normally fly Delta or US Air. I took this flight because I had a credit left over from last year when I lived in D.C. and I needed to use it quick! The closest airport to me that has Southwest is Raleigh/Durham. RDU is 2.5 hours away. Let's just say it was a long day of driving and flying. There was nasty weather and to make a long story short, it took me 12 hours to fly to Alabama, when on a good day, it normally takes me 10.5 to drive the entire way. I was impressed with Southwest for several reasons:

1. I liked the clean planes. I feel they were relatively new or at least upgraded. Ever get on a plane that you know is old? Ew. These plans were very nice.

2. They don't make you PAY to check your bag! I typically bring two bags with me, so it can end up costing $30 to $50 just to bring your own bag on the plane. I mean, what does Delta and US Air expect? Passengers to travel with no clothes or belongings? No. They now have that sneaky fee that most people cannot get out of. However, with Southwest, I was pleasantly surprised to find out I could check my bags for free!

3. I got TWO free beverages on board. Again, some airlines are starting to charge for just half a can of diet coke that they pour in watered down cups that are so tiny they are gone within two sips. Southwest almost immediately took my drink order upon boarding. Then, halfway through the flight, came through again asking if I wanted anything else. Yes, another Diet Coke please!

These were great perks to Southwest, and I am definitely open to flying them again. However, even with the great pros, I do have one con. What is up with the First come/First serve seating? I don't know how I quite feel about that yet, but it was definitely something that I was not used to.

Bama bound, an amazing haircut, and some news!

First things first, a big congratulations to one of my two best friends, Meghan K. on her engagement to Eli! The big day is set for September 5 and as you can see, she asked me to be her maid of honor. I am very excited for her! It really hit me that I guess we have arrived at the stage in life where weddings start happening -- Meg will be my second wedding this year. Here is the lovely couple after their engagement in Savannah, GA. this past weekend. I look forward to several trips to her hometown to help her plan and of course, throw a great bridal shower!

About two weeks ago, I decided to shed my long hair. I am crazy, I know. I try not to spend every day regretting my decision! Oh well -- it will grow! I tried a new salon! It is a Paul Mitchell salon and it was amazing. Has anyone ever heard of shampoo massaging? Well, I never had. Before they cut my hair, they took about 15 minutes to massage my head while shampooing and also massage my hands while a warm towel was covering my face. It was Heaven on Earth, and you better believe I will be back next time I need a trim.

My B-Day is tomorrow! I will be 22-- yes, I still feel very young! I am heading to Alabama to spend the weekend with my family. I am especially excited to see my little sister, Ashlyn. She is 17 and a senior in high school.

She is crazy and keeps us all laughing.

The news I was talking about in my last post: without going into lots of detail, let's just say it is similar to a previous post I did in March. Through much prayer and good advice, nothing in my life will be changing right now. I feel good about my decision and am actually excited.

Last night, I moved down to the master suite in the house. Natalie, my friend who married two weeks ago, moved out of the house to go live with her hubby, so I was the lucky one who got to take her room. I will post pictures next week when I get everything in it's proper place.

Also, please stay tuned for some other surprises that may be revealed later this month. I don't feel quite ready to share! =) But, it's good.

Love to you all this weekend! Wait, it's only Wednesday..... but, it is the weekend for me. Southwest airlines here I come!

I'm back!

Hello to all! I hope you are having a fun start to a great summer! I had/am still having an interesting 'time' right now. Hopefully I will be able to share and go more into detail as things in my life unfold. Until then, I have to remain tight-lipped although I am itching to tell! Some of you may notice previous posts have been taken down.... cough cough..... okay, enough said about that. Moving forward....

My roommate's wedding was a Blast! We had such a great weekend! She looked beautiful and the reception was so elegant. Here are some pictures to share!

After the reception ended around 11 p.m. on Sunday night, Nikki, Ellie, and I (picture above) headed to Virginia Beach! We drove overnight and spent Memorial Day on the beach. I was sad it was a little cloudy, but we still had a great time. Ellie is a new friend and I am so thankful I met her.
