The big apartment move starts Friday after I get home! However, I have not packed any boxes yet. I have not had any time! I plan to take pictures and document the entire process and will post about it next week, along with pictures when it is camera-ready. I have not bought anything for the apartment yet, just because I only plan to live in it for a short while. I do have a short need-list, though. One item being-- couch pillows. I love my cream couch, but it has cream pillows and needed a pop of color. I was at Pier 1 today after work and found these great pillows on a fantastic sale! **Please note: This is the first thing I have bought for myself in MONTHS** (see this post). Because of this, I stood in the store contemplating for several minutes whether or not to buy them and even turned around after I left the store to go return them because I felt guilty, but then I told myself to get a grip and that it was OK. I love them and they will look fab on my couch.
After I got to the hotel, I caught up on email, blogs, news, weather, you name it, and then went for a good workout! Featured below was my workout attire for the evening with Marie Claire magazine in tow!
Okay okay, I know... I went and got one cupcake at CakeLove, but that's because I had heard such great things about this place and had to try one! I had red velvet!

We all deserve to treat ourselves here and there so yay for pillows and cupcakes! I have a hard time walking out of pier one with nothing in my hands so I understand the feeling...cant wait to see your new place!:-) we'll be neighbors again!
ReplyDeleteI am going to DC for the day tomorrow and may have to try it!
ReplyDeleteyou look so cute in your workout attire!!
ReplyDeletegood luck with the packing and moving!! looking forward to those posts! :)
I am heartbroken you only took one picture! {sad face}
ReplyDeleteBut i do like your workout attire. I need something new!
How cute are you!!! You look fabulous!!! My goal is to start the 30 day shred to look like you!!! Thanks for the encouragement of your workout picture!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd the blackberry pearl? Yeah that's a whole other day to talk about! The second day I had mine I returned it because it wouldn't let me get texts or phone calls!! As for the iPhone!!!! The best phone I will ever have!!! Change providers as soon as you can. The monthly bill is kind of outrageous but worth every penny!!
One cupcake never hurt anyone...at least thats how I think of it:)
ReplyDeleteMy pearl drives me INSANE as well. It will just freeze up randomly. NOT.A.Fan!!
I complained enough about my Pearl that they replaced it with the Curve -- yay!!
ReplyDeleteMmm red velvet cupcakes are my fav! You look cute in your little workout attire, girly! I usually look like a crazy person with hair pinned back and unmatching sports bra...haha.. I agree with you about the email going crazy thing when you've been gone awhile. I'm on a "developmental opportunity" at my job for a couple mos working for the United Way's campaign and I've been trying to keep up with the blackberry..not very successfully. Speaking of, I HATE my blackberry. I want an iphone so badly, too.. Soon it will happen. Soon. :) Im thinking of taking the plunge at the holidays. :) Safe travels, girly!
ReplyDeleteI love cupcakes! I used to have a pearl and I hated it too!! It worked good enough I just didnt like having the full keyboard. I have a curve now and love.love.love it! good luck with it and hope your having a great week! = )
ReplyDeleteAt the least the one picture you took is a good one! :) And can't wait to see the documentation of the move!
ReplyDeleteCupcakes are my downfall! I can never pass one up...especially red velvet. Love the pillows!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you've been having good travels! I HATE my BB Pearl too (I even wrote a whole blog post about it a couple weeks ago!). But, I did take it into the store at one point awhile back because it was doing the same thing - randomly erasing my texts and call history. They told me it's because the memory is too full (either of photos or emails), and when it becomes too full, it begins to dump memory - and calls and texts are the first thing to go. If you delete some photos and emails that are saved on there, it should fix the problem.
ReplyDeleteAlso - I've heard fab things about CakeLove too, but I've never tried it!!
Sounds like you are doing well! cupcakes are my weakness :) Yum!
ReplyDeleteYou are too cute in your workout attire!
ReplyDeleteLove cakelove, love the pillows! I have a hard time letting myself buy stuff for me too but you deserve it every now and then!
