Holding on tight

I got in a car accident on Friday afternoon on the way home from my work trip. It was pouring down rain and I was FIVE miles away from being home! It was my fault, too. Luckily, it was my rental car that took all the damages, not my own. Also, no one was hurt. Big praise! All this to say, that it has put me back about $600 that I have to pay to my work (I am under their auto insurance for work trips). Also, I received two large medical bills in the mail this past month. AH! Just when I thought I was doing good and starting to accumulate some type of savings and actually begin to chip away at debt I racked up during college, Life happens, right?! Seems to be that way a lot, funny as it sounds. So, basically until summer, I will be a budget freak (not that I wasn't already) and will have to cut out all luxuries in life -- that would include coffee and the occasional manicure. It is times like this in life when I really need to rely on God for support, knowing He will take care of me and that all the bills will be paid. .... eventually.

  1. Oh, girl, I'm glad you're ok! Isn't life crazy? It seems when we finally get things straight something else happens. I swear it's a never ending battle!!

  2. So glad you're OK.

Believe me, I know how you feel. Just when it seems everything is falling into place, especially financially (for me) nowadays, something comes up. I'm just hoping for a break sometime soon. :)

  3. So so glad you're alright... that's so scary!! You never realize how powerful cars are until you crash one...

I understand the money thing - I've just resigned myself to think that I'm always 2 steps behind with money. The upside is that it's only money and you can't take it with you...

  4. I'm glad you're okay. you're in my thoughts and prayers and little by little, leaps and bounds happen. you're good to face your issue in the face and be proactive about it instead of sticking your head under the sand and hoping it'll go away.

big breath and one foot at a time.

  8. Boo, that's awful! I'm glad you are okay, of course...that's the most important thing! Things do happen, not always fun or good, but we get through them!
