We had a blast Saturday night celebrating one of JW's best friends' 30th Bday party. Of course I took more pictures, but I get nervous posting pictures of people on the blog out of respect for them! Hope it's not turning into a BJoy & JW Shrine =)

uber by Larabar
Another 'Thank You' to Larabar for sending me their latest and greatest -- The uber bar. It's their famous fruit and nut bar, but with an extra kick of salt to the sweet. My favorite flavor is Roasted Nut Roll, but they also have Cherry Cobbler, Bananas Foster and Apple Turnover. Check them out today!

Brookhaven Bolt
Last Saturday, JW and I set up shop as vendors for The Brookhaven Bolt, an area of Atlanta. JW's State Farm agency were sponsors of the event so we worked the booth after running the hilliest 5K I've ever ran. It's embarrassing to admit that the hills were tough!
It's also no fun waking up at 6:45 on a Saturday morning, however, around noon I was enjoying the fact that I had been awake for 5 hours and had accomplished so much with many hours of the day still left to enjoy!
I have a few 5Ks planned this year and then a 10K, but I ultimately plan on running the Georgia 1/2 Marathon on Thanksgiving morning. What a goal to set and achieve this year, but I am excited to do it.

Sweetwater 420 Fest 5K
Before attending the Festival, we ran the little 5K that morning! I am gearing up for some lengthy races this year, but it's always fun to throw in a little 5K here and there. I almost label it a trot!

Great Weekend!
This weekend was so much fun! It was one of those that went by slow and you can actually enjoy it day-by-day! The weekend's activities featured hanging with friends, attending a 'Welcome to Atlanta' party, going to 3 new restaurants, sleeping in until 2:00 pm, brunch on Sunday at my favorite, Murphy's, date night where we browsed Barnes & Noble and saw a movie and just overall chilling out. It was marvelous!
We used a Scoutmob on Saturday night and went to Westside Pie. I love using Scoutmob because it forces you to try new places and get a great deal! It's located in the Design District (West Midtown). I highly recommend it!

When I'm not working.....
John's Birthday Party in the Highland!
I just totally did a photo spill of pictures of "JW" and me from the last few months. Obviously if you've read my blog for a while, you would understand why I would be hesitant to introduce anyone close in my life, but I think it's time. I've been single a solid two years and it was the BEST thing to ever happen to me. I have grown as an individual tremendously. I know who I am. I can be a better person to another special person & I'm so thankful for the time I have had to establish who "Brittney" is. I've had two years to settle myself into this city and establish a career. I've been blessed to now have met a great person. This has happened at a great time & well.... I'm really excited. Thank you all for your encouragement. Didn't I tell you two years ago that we'd all be laughing at some point?!

Update: Easter Weekend
Since I wrote this post, I have thought non-stop about this blog and where I want it to go. I think many bloggers go through ruts. Especially when you've been at it for 3.5 years! Life really is going well and I am enjoying this year. I can't believe how fast it's flying.
Without inundating your blog readers with picture upon picture, I thought I would break this up by a few days of "What have I been up to?"
Take your minds back a bit to Easter weekend. I went home to Alabama!

April

Happy Easter! I can't believe it's April! I feel like the holidays were just yesterday. Time flies when you're having fun, I reckon. I am so excited for Easter weekend and being able to head home to Alabama. I really only get to go about 2-3x per year and it's always nice to be with mom, dad and Ashlyn!
This weekend was relaxing and much needed! Friday night, I went to the gym after work then came home and crashed.... slept until noon Saturday (who am I?!) & then met up with a group of friends at a grille to watch the basketball games. It was a ball, but I was done at about midnight. Sunday was a great day for a movie -- Hunger Games to be exact. Awesome movie. Can't wait to get the 2nd book.
My darling place.... I just love it.

JCT Kitchen Double Date Night
Last weekend, Anna Claire and I were treated to JCT Kitchen by some sweet gentlemen. It was the funnest double date I think I've ever had! I had not been to JCT Kitchen, but had heard such great things about it. Definitely a highlight of Atlanta if you are here. Located in West Midtown, the Art District, the restaurant view is of our beautiful skyline. The interior is low-lit with long draperies separating different booths and tables. Very romantic if you ask me.
And, no you're not seeing a picture of the gentlemen.... =) Gotta keep you guessing.
Lately in Pictures
Why, hello two weeks later! Can you believe it will be April on Sunday? I can't! It's been a busy two weeks and I have never worked so much in my life. Combine that with moving and it's a lot! I have had to unpack one room per night. It's getting there slowly but surely. I included a picture of my little office nook which I absolutely adore!
I love having a skyline view of the city off my balcony!
Sorry that my nose is up close and personal, but more so wanted to show my hair! I absolutely love curling it these days!

Sharmrock Spring
St. Patrick's Day weekend in March is always one of my favorite weekends of the year. It's like that mid-holiday between Christmas time and Memorial Day/July 4. It signifies that Spring is here and that it's time to get out in the sun and play. Minus the pollen's toll on my allergies, I am really enjoying the Spring here in Atlanta. Gosh, January and February (my two least favorite months of the year) just flew by! I can't believe April is right around the corner.
For those of you who don't follow me on Twitter, I have been busy getting ready for my move. I am moving into a new place this week and have been a packing machine in my little bit of downtime. It's such second-nature to me, since I have done this so many times. However, I am growing weary of it as well. I hope to stay put for a good 2 years in this place, unless life changes occur that would force me to move. Of course, still staying in Atlanta, but am moving further closer to Midtown. I really am growing to love this city.
Have a great week!
Me and Anna Claire! Funny story behind this run-in!
My friend ran the GA Publix Marathon and I cheered him on at mile 24. It really motivated me to start entering some 10ks and eventually a half. A full marathon seems a bit distant as of today.
